Marianne’s Daily Green Smoothie

After having some health issues years ago, I decided to spend more time making green juices and smoothies and less time baking. Not an easy thing for a chocolate chip cookie dough addict hence the health issues. As much as I enjoy homemade green juices, some days I just don’t have the time for shopping and washing and storing of all the various greens. To help me when I am constantly on the go, I have turned to this quick green smoothie recipe.

Smoothies are a great way to start your morning or get through the busy part of the day (this is when I would normally grab a less healthy snack). With this recipe, I use a liquid base of unsweetened almond milk and coconut water. Then I add a plant-based protein powder from Beaming, my favorite San Diego raw foods store. Plus, I add the most amazing greens powder, Billy’s Infinity Greens, to all my smoothies.

Here is one of my favorite recipes that can be whipped up in less than 5 minutes. Enjoy!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Pour the unsweetened almond milk and coconut water into your blender.
  2. Add the other remaining ingredients: Beaming Plant-based Superfood Protein Powder, Billy’s Infinity Greens, mixed greens, banana, and blueberries.
  3. You can add a ½ cup of ice if you want your smoothie to be more on the chill side.
  4. Then blend for 1-2 minutes or until the mixture is smooth.
  5. Pour into your favorite glass or to go cup.
