Strawberry Banana (Hidden) Green Smoothie

I don’t know about you, but I am struggling some days to get out the door for school in time. I like to give the boys a substantial breakfast, but let’s get real… some days, I just can’t get it together. Smoothie to the rescue!

I used to joke that the only “green” food my boys would eat is mint chip ice cream. One of my tricks to have the boys drink a green smoothie is to load a smoothie with dark colored berries to hide the spinach greens. That and a frozen banana will sweeten anything. Doubtful I am tricking them, but they will drink it!

Strawberry Banana (Hidden) Green Smoothie from Simple Green Smoothie

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups spinach (fresh)
  • 1 orange (peeled and seeded)Strawberry-Banana-Blueberry-
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 1 cup berries of choice
  • 2 bananas, frozen
  • 1 handful of ice cubes, optional

DIRECTIONS

  1. Blend the spinach, orange, and water until smooth.
  2. Next, add the remaining fruits and blend again.
  3. Add ice cubs or more water for desired consistency.
